Subscription Forms
Overview
Every opt-in campaign comes with a pre-generated subscription form. This form allows users to subscribe to the campaign from your website.
The form itself comes in the form of a widget. In order to use it, you will first need to get the correct widget inclusion code, and then add it to a content page or HTML template.
Getting the Widget Inclusion Code
To find the widget inclusion code:
- Go to "Connect > E-Mail > Campaigns".
- Click on the name of the campaign you want to generate a form for.
- On the campaign slider, click on "Subscribe Form".
- A popup will appear with two tabs: "Existing Form" and "Build a Form"
- Under "Existing Form", copy the code inside the white box. It should look similar to this:
{-form_campaign-17b24e798f0-}
Customizing the Forms
The default form for every campaign requests a name and email. If you want to customize this, do the following (note that we recommend leaving "first name" and "email" at a minimum):
- Go to "Connect > E-Mail > Campaigns".
- Click on the name of the campaign you want to generate a form for.
- On the campaign slider, click on "Subscribe Form".
- A popup will appear with two tabs: "Existing Form" and "Build a Form". Click on "Build a Form".
- Click here for a walkthrough of the form builder.
- Once you are done building the form, click on "Save".
Adding the Form to a Page or Template
Once the form has been generated, you can add it onto any content page or HTML template. To do this, simply copy and paste the above widget inclusion code onto the page or template.
- "Content > Custom Pages"
- "Integration > HTML Templates"
Subscriptions
Whenever a user subscribes from a subscription form, a new contact will be created in the database. The contact will be automatically assigned to the "Campaign Sign Ups" account, allowing you to easily view which of your contacts came from subscriptions to campaigns.
