Shipping Options

Overview

Shipping options allow you to set both straight-forward shipping options and more complex shipping rules. Possible shipping option types include:

  • Flat-rate shipping rule: This sets up standard shipping options that the user can select from on the "Checkout" page.
  • Region-based rule: This creates a rule based on the user's location.
  • Quantity-based rule: This creates a rule based on the number of units of products found in the cart.
  • Product-specific rule: This creates a rule specifically for a product.

Creating Shipping Options

To create a shipping option, go to "Shop > Setup > Shipping Options" and click on "Create New Shipping Rule".

TypeEstablishes the type of shipping rule.
NameThe name of the shipping rule.
DetailsA description of the shipping rule.
CostThe cost of this shipping rule.
PriorityTells the program the order in which to match shipping rules. Lower numbers will be matched before higher numbers.
Region-based rule
CountryApplicable country for this rule.
StateApplicable state for this rule.
You can select one or both.
Quantity-based rule
QuantityThis field has two values: a low value and a high value. You can input both or just one.

Inputting both will match the units in the cart greater than or equal to the low value and less than or equal to the high value.

Inputting the low value will match units in the cart greater than or equal to the low value.

Inputting the high value will match units in the cart less than or equal to the higher value.

You also cannot create a new item by simply typing the name of an item that doesn't exist. field allows you to select the product that is applicable to this shipping rule.
