Shop Setup
Before you can begin processing transactions through Zenbership, there are some initial steps that you will need to take to get your store front in working order.
Pre-Setup Requirements
Before you begin working with the program's features, you need to ensure that your server is set up to handle transactions safely and securely:
- Confirm that you are PCI Compliant
- Install a dedicated SSL Certificate. Contact your web hosting provider for information on the best way to accomplish this.
Establish Basic Settings
All of these settings can be established from "Shop > Options".
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Login Requirement | Controls whether a user needs to be a logged in member to access the shopping cart. Never: Anyone can access and purchase from the shopping cart. To View The Catalog: Users must always be logged in to view the shopping cart. To View His/Her Cart: Users can browse the cart catalog but cannot view their cart contents without logging in. To Checkout: Users can view the cart catalog and the contents of their cart, but cannot checkout without being logging in. |
| Currency | The currency in which you wish to process orders. |
| Order Number Format | This controls how order numbers will be formatted. Click here for details on how ID formats work. |
| Price Format | Controls the format of prices as displayed throughout the program. |
| Product ID Format | Default ID format for products. These can be altered on a product-by-product basis when you are creating the product. |
| Popularity Points Per Sale View Points Per Sale | Please see the discussion on popularity here for more information. |
| Taxable Items | This controls what type of products can be taxed. On top of this setting, you will need to consider tax class settings as well. |
Begin Building Your Store Front
We recommend completing these in the order they are listed below:
- Activate your Payment Gateways
- Establish Tax Classes, if any
- Establish Shipping Options, if any
- Establish Cart Categories, if any
- Establish Your Products
- Establish Promotional Codes, if any
